Tosoh is a key supplier of such fundamental chemicals as caustic soda, calcium hypochloride, and sodium bicarbonate, which are used in applications that range from swimming-pool disinfectants, to food products and pharmaceuticals. As Japan's largest producer of caustic soda, Tosoh uses its superior process technologies to take advantage of economies of scale which realizes a true competitive advantage that can be passed on to customers. A unique oxychlorination process has also allowed Tosoh to maintain the largest production capacity of VCM in Japan. Service Group companies are constantly working to improve the quality of their operations. Tosoh Logistics received ISO9001 certification for all its quality control systems at nine sites in Japan and Tosoh Analysis & Research Center also received ISO9001 certification, covering three sites in Japan.
