As for ferrule blanks, it is generally accepted that the PC(physical contact) end of the blank is critical. However, based on our extensive experience with leading ferrule manufacturers, Tosoh also considers the concentricity of the V-cone(fiber entrance) end, the straightness of the hole, and the degree of cylindricity to be just as critical. Using Tosoh ferrule blanks, users can produce ferrules that are free of internal defects and have high single mode yield.
