In 1992, seeking to broaden its activities worldwide, Tosoh purchased equity interest in General Chemical Soda Ash Partners, one of North America’s leading soda ash producers. Starting from September 1996, the production of synthetic soda ash at the Nanyo Complex will be ceased, and simultaneously marketing and sales of natural soda ash produced by GCSAP will begin. |
