Tokyo Research Center
The Tokyo Research Center conducts both academic and commercial research within the area of bio-technology, scientific instrumentation, and advanced materials. Utilizing supercomputers in conjunction with the Institute for Molecular Science in Okazaki, Japan, Tosoh is now engaging in molecular and material design to develop new products for virtually every business field. This new approach to R&D is being spear-headed by Tosoh's Exploratory Research Laboratory, which encompasses all efforts in our Basic, Specialty, and Petrochemical groups.

Yokkaichi Research Laboratory
Ideally located on-site within Tosoh's Yokkaichi petrochemical complex, polymer and plastics laboratories are working to develop new and improved grades for PVC, PE and PP resins as well as rubber products. Here Tosoh is also developing new polymerization catalysts to expand Tosoh's entire range of polyolefins as well as create new and improved thermal resistant engineering plastics.
