Tosoh applies multi-purpose organic-synthesis to the production of halogenated intermediates, particularly bromine compounds, which are important intermediate materials for a wide variety of chemicals such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, flavors and fragrances.

Since 1980, Tosoh has been producing halogenated intermediates, particularly bromine compounds, which are important intermediate materials for a wide variety of chemicals such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, flavors and fragrances. Today, Tosoh is a major bromine manufacturer and its halogenated intermediates are widely accepted in both domestic and foreign markets. At present, Tosoh supplies approximately 200 halogenated compounds with demand steadily increasing.

Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate)

Tosoh sodium bicarbonate is used to produce a wide variety of food products. It is also used in the production of animal feeds, bath additives, pharmaceutical products and fire extinguishers.
