Tokyo, Japan—Tosoh Corporation is pleased to announce its development of TX-55, a high-performance heavy metal treatment agent for wastewater. TX-55 meets rising demand for wastewater heavy metal treatment agents while overcoming problems related thereto.
Regulatory limits for such heavy metals as cadmium and mercury in wastewater are becoming increasingly stringent. There is, therefore, a growing need for high-performance heavy metal treatment agents. Yet the heavy metal capture ability of conventional wastewater heavy metal treatment agents is low and their use problematic because they generate toxic hydrogen sulfide gas, among other issues.
Tosoh’s TX-55 heavy metal treatment agent for wastewater offers high heavy metal capture and does not generate toxic gases. Its effectiveness, moreover, has been repeatedly demonstrated in the wastewater of various industries.
With Tosoh’s addition of TX-55 to its heavy metal product lineup, the company is well on its way to becoming a leader in heavy metal treatment agents. Tosoh already markets TS-300, a heavy metal treatment agent that targets the fly ash in trash incinerators. TX-55 complements TS-300 as an agent for heavy metal in wastewater.
