Establishment of Nanyo Complex, No.2 VCM Plant accident investigation and prevention committee

Tokyo, Japan—We sincerely apologize for the trouble we are causing due to the recent explosion and fire accident at the Nanyo Complex No.2 Vinyl Chloride Monomer Plant to residents of the surrounding area and the many affected parties . In relation to this accident, we further announce the establishment of an accident investigation and prevention committee. We invited outside experts and scholars in the field of explosions and safety to join the committee and investigate with us the cause of the recent accident as well as countermeasures to avoid a reoccurrence of a similar accident.
