Notice of Merger of Tosoh Consolidated Subsidiaries

Tokyo, Japan—Tosoh is pleased to announce that, effective October 1, 2017, its wholly owned subsidiaries Tosoh Finechem Corporation, Tosoh F-Tech, Inc., and Tosoh Organic Chemical Co., Ltd., will merge. Tosoh Finechem Corporation will be the surviving entity.

Each of the three subsidiaries develops, produces, and sells organic compounds of distinct characteristics. Their merger will combine their distinctive technologies to accelerate the development of chemical compounds, will facilitate the most effective use of production facilities, and will improve responsiveness to customers’ diverse needs. Tosoh Finechem Corporation will be positioned as a highly profitable, development-driven manufacturer of fine chemicals.
