The use of a professional graphic designer or agency is recommended to produce communications materials of the highest-possible quality for distribution outside the group.
Typeface indicates the graphical aspect of letters, symbols and glyphs. Fonts (or computer fonts) indicate the software that enables computers to render typefaces in word processors, design software, etc.
Designers are to use the primary (Univers) and secondary (Hoefler) typefaces indicated here, with the secondary typeface primarily reserved for body text or for minor graphic roles. The typeface designation for in-house use is Arial (one of the fonts packaged with all Windows and Apple computers).
Please refer to pages 14-16 of the Tosoh VIG for more details on typefaces for non-English alphabets.
