Tosoh Named to Certified Health & Productivity Management Organization “White 500”

Tokyo, Japan—Tosoh was recently named to the large enterprise category of the 2019 Certified Health & Productivity Management Organization “White 500.” Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry established the Certified Health & Productivity Management Organization to recognize enterprises undertaking superior health management and to ensure that such enterprises gain the public recognition they deserve.

Through its Health Promotion Committee, Tosoh supports the maintenance and improvement of its employees’ mental and physical health. Physical fitness, lifestyle improvement, and mental health are the three pillars of the company’s various health-promotion activities. Among the activities developed by Tosoh are walking and events whose themes include dietary education, smoking cessation, and the moderation of alcohol consumption. The company also hosts lectures by occupational health physicians and external experts.

The maintenance and improvement of employee health and the workplace environment are corporate responsibilities and thus integral to sound corporate management. Tosoh embraces this philosophy and makes every effort to ensure an environment that enables employees to take the initiative in maintaining and improving their health and to proactively support activities to this purpose.
